I watched this ‘cos it was the final film by Donald Cammell (credited as Franklin Brauner here) who made the amazing Performance and the even more amazing Demon Seed (both of which I need to see again soon). He had a style of film making that will never be to everyone’s tastes. He was a true experimenter. This movie has a few weird moments, but no where near as much energy as Performance nor as much menace as Demon Seed. But Anne Heche and Christopher Walken really throw themselves into it and it’s for their performances that I’d recommend it.
