When Will I Be Loved
I definitely need to see this one again, since I only began to get along with it towards the end as stuff begins to fall into place. It’s a really haunting, atmospheric, movie, very raw like most of James Toback’s work (well, I guess really I’m only comparing it to Two Girls and a Guy, the only one I’ve seen; though I imagine his style is pretty consistent). The dialogue (okay, it might be improvised which would explain it, but I don’t know) is incredibly realistic, and Neve Campbell’s performance is flawless. But like I said, it needs a lot of attention, and I’d need to see it again before saying any more.
