Waiting…

Waiting… 3 star

I was sort of looking forward to seeing this, I love Anna Faris in just about anything and it seemed a lot like Clerks, put the customers in their place, I mean, what could go wrong? But during the first few minutes I began to think maybe I’d made a big mistake – I think it was somewhere during Luis Guzman’s description to the new guy about the “flashing” trick that becomes a running gag. I have no problem with tasteless humour at all, I giggle like a schoolboy just about every time my body makes a strange noise of any kind – but when it comes to movies, there’s a point where you really want something more, and for a moment, it looked like this one was gonna be a little too relentless in that department.

Luckily, after a while, there’s plenty more fun to be had. I was ultimately sort of ashamed by the number of times this movie made me laugh. And forget Anna Faris – though she’s fun as always it’s Alanna Ubach who cracked me up the most here. She kind of reminds me of Janeane Garafolo. Her steadily increasing frustration is just … fascinating, lol. I’ll be looking out for other things with her in.
