The Driller Killer

This isn’t as good as I once thought it was but it’s definitely one of the better of the 70s horror movies, containing relatively little blood and carrying a definite message of isolation. It’s very similar to Taxi Driver except the “hero” here really has little in the way of goals – he doesn’t want to clean up the streets or save damsels in distress, he’s just pissed off.

There’s some great music for horror fans, synthesisers etc like Dario Argento’s movies, and the whole thing looks particularly 70s-ish… that’s not great critiquing, but horror fans will understand. Not as good as I used to think it was though…
