This movie has its moments but I just couldn’t get past the dodgy dubbing. I’m guessing… hoping I guess… there’s a non-dubbed version of this. It looks like it was shot both in Japanese (or whatever Asian language it was made in, I don’t know) and in English, and somewhere during post they decided they could release it in the West. It has those ridiculous comedy moments you would only find in Eastern actioners – the building falls down while the high class business woman is peeing in the bathroom, eg. It’s kind of old-style Hollywood, Chaplin, Keaton, stuff, but far more extravagant, and far more violent. It has its place, this kind of movie, you certainly have to be in the mood to watch it.
