It took me years to finally see this movie and when I did, I could’ve kicked myself for not watching it soon. I’m not a great fan of comedy, it really does usually need to be tainted somewhere with pathos or dark cynicism for me at some point, whether intended or not, even if it’s only me who can see it. Maybe Groundhog Day has that somewhere but I’d like to think this is one of the few straight-up comedies I can love. Bill Murray is perfect and I officially fell in love with Andie McDowell in this movie. One I will watch at any given opportunity, at a moment’s notice.
