Writing this a little too long since viewing the movie (but hey, what’s new). I loved it: it scared the hell out of me. Amazing that this director went off and did this year’s braindead King Arthur. Hopefully he just did it for money, and hopefully they gave him enough that he never needs go there again. I want to see more like Training Day. It’s a lot like a modern-day L.A. Confidential, but take out the very few light-hearted moments that movie had. At the same time as being unsettling and frightening, the story still manages to pan out extremely comfortably, exactly as you want it to. Damn near perfect.
