The Wolf Man [1941]

The Wolf Man [1941]

At little over an hour, you’d think this one would breeze by, but there’s a difference between short n’ sweet and short n’ non-existent. I realise the movie is old and so-called “classic” but I’d rather watch Jack Nicholson and Michelle Pfeiffer in Wolf any day (that’s the second time recently that I’ve used Michelle Pfeiffer against an acknowledged classic, lol… methinks a Pfeiffer season is overdue…). All this movie does is tell the story, flat-out, no real character surprises or even memorable dialogue, and the make-up may have been groundbreaking or something back in the Forties, but now? Kind of embarrassing, and pretty disappointing, considering I’ve really liked the other classic Universal monster movies that I’ve seen so far (Dracula and Frankenstein).
