What a mess of a review I could’ve had here … I had so many bad things to say about this movie during the first half, even during the third quarter, but it won me over so much in the end I’m left with practically nothing to say. It takes a long time to settle into the slow pace of this movie if you’re used to the chaotic barrage of today’s TV and movies, but it’s so worth the effort if you have the time. It’s almost achingly slow, but none of it is unnecessary. I look forward to watching this again knowing why it is the way it is.
