Perilously close to my special “WTF?!?” rating, this one, but I would feel wrong to put anything into that league so soon after Timothy Hines’ War of the Worlds gave me cause to create it. How did Roger Kumble go from Cruel Intentions (which, while it doesn’t appeal much to me personally, is at least watchable) to its straight-to-video sequel to this? I think the intention here is to be as camp as possible. There are multiple song-and-dance scenes that go on far too long and simply aren’t funny in the first place, everything struck me as seriously tawdry. Ooh, a girl is peeing in a urinal; ooh, another awkward sexual accident, blah, blah, blah. This makes the American Pie movies look like Orson Welles.
