I don’t really know what to say about this movie right now… I know it’s done nothing to stop me wanting to see more Ingmar Bergman movies (till this, I’d seen exactly none). I’m pretty sure, though, it will either end up being far from the best of his work I see, or the one I come back to in 20 years and suddenly understand. Makes me want to check out more Max Von Sydow movies too. I wish I would write a proper review of this movie, or at least talk about it in more detailed terms, and I’d watch it again in a heartbeat, but I just know it’s gonna be a while till I can honestly do such a thing.
