This movie’s not as scary as I’d imagined. I found it more fun than anything, like a really good ghost train ride. It’s a very clever script, always adding a little something to anything you might see coming a mile off. The children are terrific, and Nicole Kidman is at her best. I expected something a lot like The Innocents, but this movie succeeds on its own, better than I’d thought. Kinda depressing though to see Elaine Cassidy (who was so brilliant in Felicia’s Journey) in a non-speaking role with an entirely unflattering appearance
