Another slow starting Hayley Mills movie … and sadly, it never really picks up anywhere along its 2 hour duration. 2 hours would be overlong for this story even if it was well-told … as it is, even with Hayley all over almost every scene, it’s damn near excruciating. It picks up ever so slightly in its last half hour, I particularly enjoyed the scenes between Mills and Pola Negri – but I doubt I’ll be watching this again unless I’m really desperate for a Hayley fix.
