I rented this ‘cos it was apparently a classic and it’s another collaboration between Jack Nicholson and screenwriter Robert Towne, who wrote Chinatown. I was semi-disappointed. It feels more like Easy Rider, without the ending… a road movie, going nowhere. Randy Quaid is the most impressive thing in the movie. His scene with Carol Kane is really touching. But overall… both Chinatown and Easy Rider are easily more worth the attention.
