Somehow I managed to watch part II of this quite a few years ago yet have still never got round to seeing the original. Learning it was Wes Craven’s follow-up to his debut, Last House on the Left, which gets better every time I watch it, even every time I think about it, my expectations only rose. Sadly, though it definitely perks up at the end, even with my current resurgence of interest in the horror genre, this kinda did nothing for me. I hate to say it, but this might actually be one shameful case where I’ll like the remake a lot more than the original “classic”.
