Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing together again sounds tantalising, and once again Hammer usual Terence Fisher is at the helm here, but they kind of might as well not have bothered. This is the most dreary Hammer movie I’ve seen to date. I will forever remember how much the idea of gorgons captured my imagination and terrified me when I was little, and most particularly those scenes in Clash of the Titans; even back then, I don’t think this movie would’ve done anything for me … in fact, if anything, I think it would’ve quelled my fears. I’d definitely only recommend this movie if, like me, you’ll watch anything, or if you’re a fan of anyone concerned.
