I could really become a fan of these Vincent Price movies… a few weeks ago I saw part of the similar Theatre of Blood on TV in which an actor takes revenge on other actors who upstaged him in his youth (or something) – here he plays a guy taking revenge on the doctors who “murdered” his wife and caused him to be hideously disfigured. There’s something superbly grotesque about his performance, the music, the set design, that all comes together in these movies to create a completely unique version of horror.
