Mistakes you might make before seeing this movie: 1) not reading much about it, and therefore going in expecting something as politically scathing as the best South Park episodes, rather than an insane parody, slightly less humorous than the best South Park episodes, and 2) listening to the soundtrack. I made mistake number 2 – the songs are pretty funny, and if you’ve heard them already before you see the movie, you’ll probably find part of the movie’s “first time” assault a little lacking.

Team America isn’t as good as South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut, but it is way better than Orgazmo. It’s mostly as good as the best South Park episodes, with the one major drawback that it’s over 3 times as long.

I’ll buy the DVD if there’s plenty of extras, but I’ll be re-buying the South Park movie, that now seems even more like a masterpiece in comparison, first.
