I know, I should save these for Halloween, but I was in the mood so I couldn’t resist. It’s actually a small miracle that the ending of this still took me by jawdropping surprise the way it did. I’d heard of the ending before, but somehow at no point while watching the movie did I make the connection – of course, during the final flashback, it dawned on me, “omg, it’s that movie?” lol, but still, what an ending (I won’t say anything about it, you’ll just have to Google it if you need to know).

Even up until that point, I found it oddly watchable. The acting is absolutely terrible but it has that air about it, y’know, when you’re not entirely sure if it’s deliberate or not? The score is certainly one of the movie’s high points – it borrows from a ton of other, older, better things, but it’s still (considering how cheap the rest of the movie looks) really well put together. And, of course, the gore is … gory …
