Saturday the 14th
Such a funny title! Like Student Bodies, this kind of has its moments but ultimately it’s just not sophisticated enough to keep me interested even for its measly 75 minute runtime. Thinking about it now, it kind of strikes me like one of those movies made with really great intentions, like, the kids love horror movies, let’s make one that they can watch? Only, I’ve been there, in the video store, too young for Freddy and Jason etc, and the grown-up hands you some crap like this in a manner that suggests they actually think it’s a perfect substitute? It’s just the worst let-down, lol. Even as a spoof it doesn’t stand up alongside the stuff that was happening at the time elsewhere like Airplane! Really mostly a waste of time. I only give it 2 stars because it wasn’t the movie I planned to watch tonight, technical difficulties ensued, so it was kind of at a disadvantage to my grumpiness. I’m pretty sure it couldn’t get much better though.

Every time the 13th falls on Friday I think “but things get even worse on Saturday the 14th!”
