Lost in Space

Lost in Space 3 star

My first review of this movie, directly after seeing it on the big screen, was one word, which I still have on my first ever paper movie log, “SHITE”, lol. I really did despise it. My opinion has definitely risen since then.

While it’s clearly no masterpiece, and it has a lot of problems (mainly that the screenwriter tried to include far too many ideas – maybe they realised they’d never get to do a sequel :-P), I find this movie a lot of fun and I always find myself watching it when I get the chance. I love Lacey Chabert (seriously cute voice – I know some find it annoying – and great hair and costume), Gary Oldman (not as menacing as usual but it’s the best this movie has to offer) and Heather Graham. Even her banter with Matt LeBlanc, who I generally hate, always brings a smile to my face. The visual effects are mostly great too. Only Blarp, the CG cute and friendly excuse for a toy, who doesn’t really blend in too well, lets it down.
