I remember seeing the first promo pic of this movie shortly after watching Herbie: Fully Loaded and my admittedly fairly simple response was, “yay! Lindsay has red hair again!” And I guess, in a nutshell, that’s still my response to the movie. It is old school classic Lindsay Lohan, and I kinda love it for that. Yes, it’s “from the director of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,” lol, yes, it “introduces” spits McFly (mercifully innocuous as they are) ... but this is Lindsay doing what Lindsay does best, it has more than its share of laughs (“At least you’re wearing underwear!” being by far the best, lol, but there are plenty of others), it’s simple, sweet, and fast. The Girl on the Bridge is slightly similar stuff and far better in cinematic terms … but, am I allowed to say it again? ... it’s Lindsay! And for a movie to make me love her so much again at this stage … that’s something truly special, so colour me pleasantly surprised – I laughed way too much in these 100 minutes, and I don’t care.
