Hands of the Ripper

Hands of the Ripper 3 star

There’s something very Marnie-ish about this late entry to the Hammer horror catalogue. In the arresting opening credits Jack the Ripper’s daughter witnesses him killing her mother, and spends the rest of the movie seemingly possessed by his spirit. I kinda liked that aspect of the movie. I liked the music, too. There’s more of the gore I’ve been whining about being missing in the more recent horror movies I’ve seen, too, so I guess there’s a lot of kudos to be had. Mostly forgettable, though.
