“Mom – we’re being hijacked, and I’m not coming home …”
I’m not qualified to really say what I want to begin this review with because, basically, I don’t watch that many TV movies, certainly not many of the last decade or so … but this must be one of the best ever, am I right? I mean, comparisons to United 93 be damned, this is pretty fantastic (if that’s the right word). I’m almost inclined to say I personally was more moved than it than I was by United 93, but I’m hesitant about that till I see that one again – I kind of only let Paul Greengrass’ movie in only in its last 30 minutes, too late to really have a clear opinion on it. But this is definitely as sensitive, technically proficient, and powerful as the big screen effort, if not the best of the 9/11 movies I’ve seen so far. But as I think I have for each them, I feel the need to add, for obvious reasons, a repeat viewing will be a long time coming.
