It’s rough around the edges and very Tuesdays With Morrie – ish, but this movie is surprisingly, even overwhelmingly, affecting in places. Alicia Morton is amazing, and the rest of the cast (including Ellen Burstyn, Robert Loggia, Penelope Ann Miller, and David James Elliott, who I’ve never seen before but carries the film quite brilliantly) are good too.
