I have to admit, though this movie frequently falls to the unbearably cringe-inducing hell of Epic Movie, I had a good case of the giggles on more than one occasion watching it. The whole thing is a lot more consistent than the most recent “Movie” … not quite as much as the early Scary Movie but enough to make it mostly bearable. Alyson Hannigan is of course a huge factor, too – she’s able to do these stupid things, much like Anna Faris, really really gross and stupid things (and by the way, let me take this opportunity to say that this is the first genuinely gross-out gross-out teen comedy I’ve seen), and come out with almost more dignity than she had going in. Worth a look if you liked the Scary Movies or love Alyson Hannigan. Don’t let it tempt you toward Epic Movie though.
