I definitely need to see this again because my mind was hardly in gear to take it in properly this time round – but it was in gear enough to know I was pleasantly surprised by the movie. None of the accents struck me as terrible the way I’d read about, and it seemed to me to be every bit as good as The English Patient, which for me it resembled in places.

But like I say … this review barely deserves being here, it’s just some kind of record of a viewing.
