I saw this in the TV guide at random and decided immediately to watch it just for its cool title (I’d never heard of the books it’s based on) and when I looked it up and saw that Tatiana Maslany (who I fell in love with in Ginger Snaps: Unleashed) was in it, that cemented the deal. This covers a lot of the depression stuff that’s been covered better before, but it’s cute enough, and all the actors and actresses are really great, particularly Maslany and Lauren Collins, who plays her best friend Ada-May.
