Big Nothing

Big Nothing 3 star

Hyperventilates Natascha McElhone

Sorry. Another movie where my love of one of its players (even when her role is so small) completely overwhelms anything else I might have to say about it. Natascha makes a movie worth watching.

Anyway, in other news, this movie is not bad, a lot of fun. Simon Pegg does a good American accent (to my ears, I can’t really say much since I’ve spent all of 14 days in the US, though that probably expands to a good 14 years if you count TV and film), David Schwimmer finally catches up with the other ex-Friends and turns in a non-annoying performance (okay, Apt Pupil isn’t so bad, I’m just trying to be pithy), and the tone is far removed from the norm (this would mean a lot more if the movie had done a little better at the box office and not gone straight to DVD in the U.S., lol). I’d totally tuned out by the end, but it was certainly top drawer background material. I won’t make any jokes about it living up to its title, put it that way :P

I really liked BN although Natascha should have had a bigger role :(
