A disappointing movie from Woody Allen after his more recent returns to form, or maybe I’ve just hit that point where this is one too many. Not one of Christina Ricci’s best performances, which is always a bad sign, and she and Jason Biggs never seemed like a good cast combo. Stockard Channing brings some interest, and Woody Allen himself is always more interesting onscreen than off, but overall, it’s the middle-period Woody Allen, the period he himself poked fun at in one movie, “I liked your old movies, the funny ones…”
