This movie reminded me a lot of one of my favourites of 2004, Napoleon Dynamite. It’s like Napoleon Dynamite grown up, and as such is at times far more depressing. The style messes around with reality a little, and it’s one of those movies that is very easy to dismiss as “trying too hard” to be weird. But I’d certainly watch it again, it’s a movie I’ll react differently to at different times, and as I get older, and I certainly enjoyed it this time too.
