I’ve been looking forward to this one. Geri’s my second favourite Spice Girl after Emma, and though none of her music so far has really got inside my soul or anything heavy like that, she’s someone who I desperately long to affect me that much. This album really does actually come astonishingly close, and I expect at least one track (though I’ve no idea which) will make it into my end of year bests playlist. The sound is wonderful and her voice is better than ever, and the songs range from the almost cheesily light to old-style thumping bass dance stuff – and Geri’s one of the few people who can do this kind of music and not even make me think of turning off.

You’re forgiven for Fat Slags, Geri. I’ll assume you did that to pay for this
