I guess I just have a gut feeling for Mark Owen – I bought his last album from the iTunes music store practically blind having only heard and loved “Four Minute Warning” and I was far from disappointed, that’s become one of my favourite albums. I bought this one entirely blind having only even heard about it a few days before. I actually kind of wanted to be disappointed by this one, since he’s playing a gig in town on December 14th which I can’t go to ‘cos I’ll be at “The League of Gentlemen Are Behind You!” But I can hardly stop listening to it.

I wanted write more about this album but it’s been sitting as a draft way too long lol. Just to say, this is easily one of my favourite albums of the year – “Makin’ Out” and “Believe in the Boogie” are catchy as hell and so are the others. It’s mostly pumping pop but at one point it slows down beautifully for an ambient instrumental.
