Kate Bush - The Line, the Cross & the Curve
Weird, of course – it’s Kate Bush both starring and directing; and the music is brilliant, of course – it’s Kate Bush there, too. I’ve had nightmares like this movie, I think. I have to confess to getting a little aroused when Kate is on the floor with no control over her legs (hey, it’s a weird movie, I’m gonna get weird in my review). Miranda Richardson looks great miming to “The Red Shoes”, and it’s no surprise that nearly all the technical crew – including cinematographer Roger Pratt (*Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire*) and art directors Ben Scott (*The Man Who Cried*) and Roger Hall (*Five Children and It*) – went on to bigger things, it’s amazing to look at. If I ran a music channel, this would be on almost daily. Yes I realise that’s why I don’t run a music channel
