Ashlee Simpson - I Am Me
There’s not a lot to say about an Ashlee Simpson release – it’s gonna be what you expect it to be, since that’s partly the point. If you’re gonna hate her, you’re gonna hate her and if you’re gonna love her, you’re gonna love her. I was hoping for at least one catchy song like last year’s “Nobody ‘Till You” by Lindsay Lohan or Natascha Bedingfield’s “These Words”. I found it in L.O.V.E., a track that barely breaks 2 minutes but sticks in your head forever. I wouldn’t say it’s worth buying the album for, but hopefully it makes it onto a single as a B-side, or you can just buy the single track from iTunes etc. Or hey, you could always “record it off the radio” ... But seriously, that song is pretty fantastic, and I’ll probably listen to the rest of the album a couple more times too.
