2008 Movies (so far)
I see the big Top Ten lists are starting to emerge so I’ll give this entry a penultimate bump before the year is out as it pleases me that I kind of finally have 10 movies at the top here that to me are almost worthy of being called the ‘best’ despite having clearly tons yet to see. Really, however, only the top two here are ones that have made my 2008 movie watching truly worth it so far. I’ll still try to get around to reviewing the unlinked titles before 2009 too … I promise …
(I still have no idea why all my lists are ending in 1, lol … can anyone help?)

I still have to watch Mamma Mia which hasn’t come out in Indonesia. I don’t think it ever will. Musicals are not so loved here.

I really loved the first half of one of the films on your list: “In Bruges”; I also liked “Smart People” which I did not see on your list. And I thought the set up to the “Bank Job” was nicely done—one of the better in the heist genre.
