Like most Disney sequels, this isn’t entirely necessary at all… but it did manage to keep me entertained for the duration, and personally I was pretty impressed with the animation which looked pretty faithful to the 1961 original. Even the songs (one sung by gag Will Young on the DVD) are okay.
